Introducing AutoSave

AutoSave is a smarter way to help your customers save — offering personalized, usage-based energy pricing that adjusts to how they actually use energy. When we can offer them a better rate, we will; when we can’t, we'll return them to the utility.

It’s called usage-based energy pricing: We constantly analyze your usage. When we can beat the utility’s rate, we supply your energy — saving you up to 10%. When we can’t, you stay on the utility.

AutoSave Overview

What is AutoSave?
AutoSave is a smart energy feature that automatically switches customers between Think Energy and their utility—whichever offers the lower rate. Rate changes happen monthly, seasonally, annually, or whenever savings are available.

Who handles rate transitions?
Think Energy handles all transitions between suppliers automatically. No action is required by the customer—or you.

What does “up to 10% savings” mean?
Customers may save up to 10% when enrolled on a personalized Think Energy rate.

Can we promote “guaranteed lifetime savings”?
No. You may say customers will never pay more than the utility rate, but not guarantee savings over time.

Availability & Eligibility

When is AutoSave launching?
New Jersey is expected to go live soon, with Ohio to follow. Expansion to other states will be announced.

Where is AutoSave available?
Currently launching in New Jersey, with Ohio and other states coming soon.

Is AutoSave for residential or commercial customers?
Residential customers only.

Who can enroll?
Residential customers in Band 1 or higher. AutoSave is not available to Free Energy Club (FEC) customers or Band 0.

What happens if a Band 0 or FEC customer enrolls?
Their enrollment will be rejected.

What happens with Free Energy Club customers?
FEC discounts only apply when Think Energy is the supplier. Since AutoSave may switch customers to utility supply, FEC customers are better off staying on their current plan to keep their rebate.

Enrollment & Plan Details

How does enrollment work?
Customers visit ThinkEnergy.com and complete a standard enrollment. They’ll sign an AutoSave agreement authorizing Think Energy to manage supply changes.

Is there a fee to enroll in AutoSave?
No. Enrollment is completely free.

Can current Think Energy customers switch to AutoSave?
Yes, in two ways:
• Cancel and re-enroll under AutoSave
• Switch at the end of their current contract term

Can an AutoSave customer opt out and stay with Think Energy?
Yes. They can switch to a fixed-rate plan at any time by calling 1-888-923-3633 or emailing care@thinkenergy.com.

Can an AutoSave customer switch to a fixed rate?
Yes. They can switch to a fixed-rate plan anytime by contacting Think Energy customer care.

Do customers need to renew AutoSave annually?
No. AutoSave continues until the customer cancels or changes plans.

Can AutoSave customers be automatically placed on Community Solar?
No. AutoSave and Community Solar are separate programs.

Service & Supply

Do customers always receive energy from Think Energy?
Not always. AutoSave enrolls customers with the lower-rate supplier—Think Energy or the utility.

When will new AutoSave customers begin supply?
Supply changes will begin in late May, with the first group of Think Energy-supplied AutoSave customers expected to flow in June.

How long does it take for supply to switch?
Rate changes can take 1–2 billing cycles to take effect.

If I have budget billing or HEAP, can I join AutoSave?
Customers should check with their utility to confirm that switching suppliers won’t affect their benefits.

What will appear on the customer’s bill?
Think Energy will be listed as the energy supplier when applicable.

Will there be a customer portal?
No. Customers will receive email notifications when their supply changes.

    Customer Status field:
